My free planner includes a monthly planner; that keeps your focus on your top goals for the three months of summer. A weekly planner and as well as a daily planner, it will help you keep track of your activities. If you utilize my printable wisely, you’ll be accomplishing your summer goals almost effortlessly.

In addition to the Free Summer Planner download, here are six tips that will help you have you have a more fulfilling summer.

1.Write

The first tip should not come as a surprise considering my blog is called The Haitian Storyteller. But, you don’t have to consider yourself a storyteller, or even a writer, in order to write. If you take the pressure of “Everything I write must be a masterpiece” off yourself, writing is a fun thing to do. Weather you start a novel, write a short story, start a new blog about your passion, or simply a journal, writing is a wonderful way to stimulate your creativity.

2. Plan ahead

As I’ve stated above, planning is the best way to ensure you get the best out of summer. Planning way in advance is even better. However, it’s never too late to start. That’s why my free planner is designed for monthly, weekly, and daily planning, and is even broken down to a morning and afternoon schedule. If you haven’t thought about your plans for the summer yet, now is the time to start. Simply take a few minutes and write down what your ideal summer would look like and start your action plan to make it happen.

3. Read

Reading, just like writing, is another great way to let our imaginations run wild.

If you plan on learning something new this summer, start with a book and take it from there. Reading for pleasure is a part of self-care – it gives you time to yourself, and if you’re reading a good book, you’ll be able to let all kinds of emotions out. Read about things that interests you, fiction or non-fiction. And you don’t need a huge reading list to feel like a champion. Even if you make time to read just one book this summer, it’s an accomplishment. My summer reading list, for example, only consists of three books!

If you’re wondering where to find some wonderful books at a great price, check out my books and writing resources page here.

4. Volunteer

If you really want to feel a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, try volunteering. Even if you think that what you’re volunteering for won’t make a difference, trust me, it makes a huge difference to someone. Giving your time to a cause you believe in, is a great achievement. You can go to VolunteerMatch.org to find a cause close to your heart.

5. Go on a Stay-Cation

Taking a stay-cation is a great alternative to traveling if you don’t have the money or just don’t want to. You can make friends and discover brand new things about the place you call home or a city nearby. A stay-cation can include going on a museum tour, checking out some local bookstores near you, or taking a two-hour road trip to someplace you’ve never been before.
